We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager Operations professional to join our team within the banking and financial services sector. The selected candidate will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of strategic and operational initiatives, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including German-speaking counterparts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and monitor the progress of banking and financial projects, ensuring deadlines, budget, and quality targets are met
- Draft and maintain project plans, operational documentation, and progress reports (status reports, KPI dashboards)
- Manage communications with internal stakeholders (IT, Operations, Compliance, Risk) and external partners, including in German
- Support project risk management: identification, analysis, and definition of mitigation plans
- Organise and facilitate project meetings, producing minutes and action plans
- Contribute to the implementation of project management methodologies (PMO, Agile, Waterfall)
- Collaborate with international teams and liaise with offices in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
- Support change management and training activities related to new process or system rollouts
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Finance, or related disciplines
- 2 – 3 years of experience in similar roles (Project Manager, PMO Analyst, Operations Specialist), preferably in banking or financial services
- Knowledge of core banking processes: credit, compliance, payment systems, retail/corporate products
Language Skills
- German: B2/C1 level – essential requirement (written and spoken)
- Italian and/or English: proficient level for day-to-day business communication
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management tools: MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com or similar
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with PM frameworks: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum (certification is a plus)
- Basic knowledge of core banking systems (e.g. T24, SAP Banking, Murex) is an advantage
