We are seeking an experienced SWIFT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing, monitoring, and securing our SWIFT financial messaging infrastructure while ensuring strict alignment with international regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate acts as the strategic bridge between technical engineering controls and compliance requirements, overseeing process monitoring, risk mitigation, and audit readiness for core financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • SWIFT Infrastructure & Process Management: Oversee, configure, and monitor SWIFT connectivity components and messaging flows, ensuring the operational continuity and stability of financial transactions
  • Technical Controls & Compliance Alignment: Map technical infrastructure settings and security configurations against regulatory standards, specifically driving the implementation and maintenance of the SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP)
  • Process Monitoring & Auditing: Continuous tracking and auditing of internal IT processes, analyzing system events and access logs to verify that operational controls match compliance policies
  • Risk & Documentation Management: Design, maintain, and update technical and procedural documentation required for internal and external regulatory audits
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cyber security, and legal/compliance teams to translate normative constraints into enforceable technical specifications

Requirements (Must Have)

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in IT infrastructure within financial, banking, or heavily regulated environments
  • Domain Expertise: Proven hands-on knowledge of SWIFT infrastructure components, message processing, and financial network operations
  • Regulatory Frameworks: Strong understanding of IT compliance standards, with specific expertise in the SWIFT Customer Security Controls Framework (CSCF / CSP)
  • Process Auditing: Solid background in process monitoring, tracking technical controls, and compiling evidence for compliance audits
  • Technical Background: Familiarity with system administration concepts, secure access controls, and log analysis to effectively evaluate technical implementations
  • Languages: High proficiency in both English and Italian, written and spoken, for handling international regulatory documentation and local team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated compliance monitoring tools or SIEM systems for audit log aggregation
  • Relevant certifications in IT Governance, Risk, or Information Security (such as CISA, CRISC, CISM)
  • Knowledge of standard framework mappings (such as ISO 27001, NIST, or COBIT) to SWIFT CSP

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including system documentation and project management capabilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with effective performance monitoring and tuning experience.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while managing priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience mentoring and supporting colleagues in technical environments.
